LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
"A Tradition of Service"
1. PURPOSE
This manual establishes the official operating standards for Los Angeles County Sheriffs Deapartment. The intent is to create a realistic law enforcement environment that uses professional chain of command, radio discipline, tactical structure, administrative accountability, and roleplay-first standards.
This manual is written for roleplay and server training only. It is not an official government document, does not grant real law enforcement authority, and shall not be used outside the server.
2. MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department roleplay organization is to provide professional, ethical, and community-focused law enforcement services that safeguard life, protect constitutional rights, and maintain public trust through transparency, accountability, and service.
3. CORE VALUES
Personnel shall operate under the following values:
A. Service before self.
B. Professionalism in all contacts.
C. Integrity in reports, testimony, investigations, and command decisions.
D. Accountability for all actions.
E. Respect for civilians, suspects, victims, witnesses, allied agencies, and department members.
F. Realistic roleplay over winning scenes.
4. MANUAL AUTHORITY
All members are responsible for knowing and following this manual. A lack of knowledge of policy is not a defense to discipline when a reasonable member should have known the rule.
5. POLICY INTERPRETATION
When a policy is unclear, members shall follow the direction of a supervisor. Supervisors shall interpret policy in a way that protects realism, public safety, fairness, and server rules.
6. POLICY ORDER OF PRIORITY
When rules conflict, members shall follow this order:
A. Server rules and staff direction.
B. Department executive command orders.
C. This PARS manual.
D. Station SOPs and unit SOPs.
E. Informal guidance or custom practice.
